content writingGoogle has updated its algorithm once again bringing the usual pain and pleasure to website owners, one of the key changes was to reward good quality content and to de-value copied or poor content.  So what a great time to publish our original content top 10 tips for copy writing.

  1. Audience – Write for your audience in a manner and style they can relate to, try not to dictate and write in a style as if you were talking to a friend.
  2. Story – Everyone likes a good story try to tell a story with your writing using real experiences where possible.
  3. Beginning – All good stories have a beginning set the scene in your opening paragraph.
  4. Middle – The middle is most effective when used to relate to your audience and show the benefits.
  5. End – The close generally a ‘call to action’ so what next?
  6. Relevant – Relate your text to your audience using current events where possible.
  7. Purpose – The best content usually has a ‘call to action’ think about the next action a reader should take leading on from your content.
  8. Benefit – Does your content demonstrate an easy to understand benefit from your product or service.
  9. Feedback – try to engage with your audience by asking for feedback.
  10. Time – Keep the content to the point and within a reasonable length of less than 600 words.
